Rod Baker received his MBA, with concentration in Information Systems, from the University of South Florida and his Bachelors of Science in Marketing and Economics, from Florida State University. Mr. Baker then designed and sold OCR imaging systems for many years during the 1980s developing expertise in various form processing and imaging applications. Mr. Baker was hired by the Florida Department of Revenue, The Jacksonville Naval Aerosquadron and Florida Power Crystal River Nuclear Power Plant, just to name a few, to provide imaging solutions during this period in the 1980s. During the year 1990, Mr. Baker directed the Calera (now Caerre) Dealership for the state of Florida to Gold Level performance. Recognizing the demand for forms based OCR and imaging solutions, Rod Baker founded RecTec Inc. in 1992. Mr. Baker sharpened his form scanning skills throughout the early 1990's becoming Top Sales Producer in 1996 and 1997 for Microsystems Technology's OCR for Forms, and won the most new customers nationally in 1998. Mr. Baker has received billing as the document imaging "Claim Master" at international OCR conventions and continues to speak to many industry organizations. In 2002, Mr. Baker acquired the DocSTAR document imaging franchise for several Florida counties and went on to becoming the nations 2nd DocSTAR Rookie of the Year in 2004. DocSTAR is responsible for dramatic productivity improvements in many Florida businesses and RecTec continues to enjoy the success of the personal relationships developed with our clients. RecTec now maintains a team of support engineers operating a defined preventative and responsive maintenance schedule in accordance with the formal policies and procedures of RecTec in the delivery of technical services. Our customers remain happy.
